Winsupply’s Abilene, TX location last renovated nearly 20 years ago, and in early 2020, they opened the doors on a newly renovated showroom. Since the showroom opened just before the pandemic, the location has been running by appointment only; with construction and building still going on, the showroom has seen strong sales throughout the pandemic.
The Abilene location focuses on offering plumbing products to building contractors and plumbers, while also providing the in-depth expertise that their clients' need. The showroom wanted a space that would make their clients feel comfortable, no matter what the scale or scope of their projects, and also showcase products in a way that makes product selection simple.
As one of Winsupply's many locations (the privately held company has nearly 600 employee-owned supply houses across 45 states), the Abilene location tapped SH Design-Build, one of Winsupply's preferred builders, to design the space and provide showroom displays and components that have been developed specifically for the Winsupply showroom program.
With access to displays, finishes and floor plans geared towards the Winsupply way of merchandising and selling, the Abilene showroom was able to create a space that perfectly suited their needs, and also works with the Winsupply brand. April enjoyed the experience and found the 3D rendering process particularly helpful as the showroom went from concept to reality.

The space is largely geared towards a clientele of builders and contractors, who are looking for great products for their many projects in the area. April Presley, the showroom manager and builder sales representative, says that the goal is to make the client’s building or renovations projects go as simply and stress-free as possible.
“Our update was built to offer builders and contractors a showroom that they felt confident showcased items they would be proud to install in one of their homes.”
With the majority of the showroom clients coming from the building professions, including residential contractors and plumbers, Winsupply of Abilene offers a variety of plumbing fixtures, appliances, hardware and lighting options. The showroom aims to be a one-stop shop for those last fixtures that go in a home.
To incorporate the newest trends in the decorative plumbing industry, the showroom features a U by Moen faucet. Customers can use Google to learn about how the product works and start to explore the latest technologies coming to the market.
Since its opening, the staff at Winsupply of Abilene has heard some great feedback from their clients. April says that in the new space, it’s easy to navigate the displays and it makes choosing fixtures a joy.

The renovation also allowed April and the team to add in higher end products and new lines, which have contributed to the showroom’s success since its opening. April also says that the new space has really contributed to better exposure in the Abilene market, thanks to local builders and plumbers who share information and photos, which in turn drives more business into the showroom.
